The Kill Your Bill Challenge is a new, fun, exciting environmental initiative being run by the Peel Environmental Youth Alliance (PEYA) that aims to involve all high school students in the Peel District School Board and the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. The goal is simple – run energy conservation initiatives and try to conserve as much energy in your school as possible during the month of March! In order to help you tackle energy conservation effectively in your school, we have come up with a three step program: raising awareness amongst students, raising awareness amongst teachers, and taking action as a student team. We are here to help, and by sending a representative to PEYA General Meetings, we will be able to help you cover each step! Then, at the end of March, we will be holding our Blackout Dance in order to celebrate all the work that your school has done and Earth Hour! Aftewards, at our April General Meeting, we will be announcing the school that was the most successful in decreasing their energy consumption for the month of March!
